IFP can help you find money lost or trapped in complex electronic accounting and information systems

Intelligent Financial Perspectives has been extracting, transforming, analyzing, and auditing financial data from computerized accounting systems for over 20 years. Our services start where traditional data recovery and electonic discovery companies end.

  • Financial data stored in database management systems does not contain the rules, logic or formulas required to review or analyze the content of the native electronic files obtained from these systems. These rules, logic and formulas are stored in software programs written in languages like SQL, C++, COBOL and Java.
  • Electronically stored information does not just reside on Microsoft DOS or Windows based file systems. Electronically stored financial information is often in file systems such as VSAM, EXT2, EXT3, ReiserFS, MFS and Files-11.
  • Electronically stored information is not limited to e-mail messages, Microsoft Word documents, PDF documents, TIFF images and other common personal computer electronic file formats. Electronically stored financial information is often in native file and database formats like DBF, ISAM, MDB, DAT, IDX, FRM, MYI and MYD.
  • Metadata is not limited to simple word processing document properties like author, title, subject, creation date and modification date. Financial data is stored in database management systems like C-Tree, DB2, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, IMS or FOCUS that each contain complex metadata describing record layouts, table layouts, data types and storage locations.

For over two decades, IFP has solved these problems for law firms, financial institutions, and healthcare providers with our ability to identify, collect, reverse engineer, review, audit and analyze complex electronic financial information for:

  • Arbitration and Litigation Support
  • Financial Transaction Support
  • System Conversion
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Activity Based Costing
  • Business Process Improvement
